KRVN/Rural Radio Network Farm Broadcaster

The Nebraska Rural Radio Association is seeking a farm broadcaster to join our team. The NRRA is the only farmer and rancher owned radio group in the country. The stations include KNEB in Scottsbluff; KTIC in West Point; KAWL/KTMX in York; KAMI in Cozad; and flagship KRVN, a 50,000-watt AM powerhouse.
The ideal candidate is a friendly, team oriented, motivated talent with prior broadcast experience. This person needs to be passionate about providing agricultural producers the information they need. Educating listeners outside the industry about the importance of agriculture is also a major focus. Our next farm broadcaster should be comfortable communicating across multiple platforms including broadcast, video, website, and social media.
The perfect candidate will possess: An agricultural background or education; the
people skills necessary to represent the Rural Radio Network at local, regional, and national agricultural industry events; the ability to interview industry experts, government officials, and news makers; news writing and gathering skills; the ability to anchor news and market updates; strong social & digital media skills; experience with video a plus; a willingness to travel to cover meetings and conventions; experience with Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere, and other basic broadcast audio software. The position will be based in Lexington, Nebraska.

The Nebraska Rural Radio Association and radio stations 880 KRVN, 93.1 The River, & KAMI Country Legends are looking to hire a Studio Production Assistant to join our broadcast team. We seeking individuals who are flexible with their time; and excited about working in broadcast and digital media.

We would prefer to hire candidates with previous broadcast training or experience. However, training can be provided for someone who is friendly, reliable, and motivated to learn. Skills like audio/video editing, commercial production, news writing, social media curation are a plus.

This is a part-time position that will include mostly evening and weekend hours.
