Brandon Benitz continues his “Chat with the Chancellor” segment here in the Fall 2018 semester! This week, we’re joined by a special guest, the President of the University of Nebraska system, Dr. Hank Bounds.

This past winter, the University of Nebraska system partnered with Gallup to conduct a climate survey from all University system students, faculty, staff members and alumni and the results of that climate survey were recently released, so we chat about that survey and the results it provided; Dr. Bounds hosted a research summit this week where state policymakers, and their staffs, got an opportunity to meet Faculty and Students to learn about the work they are doing, and we chat about the goal of the summit and what he hopes policymakers took away from it; and next week, the Board of Regents will hold a meeting on the Kearney campus, so we chat about what the schedule looks like for the tour, and the meeting, and what will be on his agenda to discuss with the Board – especially as it relates to UNK; and more!
