A 29-year-old Scottsbluff man is being held on a $25,000 bond following a burglary investigation by Scotts Bluff deputies.

Court documents say that Jacob Onstott was arrested on Saturday after being named a suspect in the investigation. Deputies were dispatched to the Bellevue addition after the homeowners reported that gaming consoles and knives with wildlife inscriptions were missing from their house.

They told authorities that Jacob and Kassi Onstott were the only people they could think of that could’ve stolen the items, as they lived with them for a week the prior month.

Deputies went to Mister Money pawn shop and discovered that on November 30th, Jacob Onstott pawned 10 knives with unique inscriptions on them; and a search warrant of Onstott’s home led to the discovery of the Playstation 3 that had been stolen.

Onstott claimed that he didn’t pawn any items, and the knives belonged to Kassi’s grandfather. Deputies asked Onstott to described what those knives looked like, but he didn’t have an answer.

He was then placed under arrest for burglary and was transported to the Gering jail.
