YORK – A one vehicle accident Monday evening in York sent one man to the hospital.

According to a witness, Weldon was heading south on Platte Ave when he swerved into the other lane, almost hitting the witness, banged into a curb and crashed head on into the pole. Weldon was transported to York General before being taken to Lincoln with internal injuries.

Authorities have not determined what caused the accident. A seatbelt was in use and was associated with Weldon’s injuries. The York Fire Department and York County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
