OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ A family’s $8 million gift is covering half the projected cost of a new student services center for Creighton Prep high school in Omaha.
The Omaha World-Herald reports that Scott and Cindy Heider will lead the campaign to raise $8 million to match their donation for the $16 million project. The center will be named for the Rev. Timothy Lannon, who led the school from 1988 to 1995.
The school president, the Rev. Tom Neitzke, says the Lannon Learning Commons “will help assist our young men as they navigate their emotional and academic needs.”
Creighton Preparatory School is a private, Jesuit college prep high school for boys. It has an enrollment of around 1,000.
