Early Morning Mobile Home Fire Results in Total Loss

YORK, Neb. – A mobile home fire early Saturday morning, has left one family displaced.

The York Fire Department was dispatched to the York Mobile Plaza at 6:40 a.m., to a report that smoke was coming from a mobile home. Upon arrival by York Fire, flames were visible from the outside but due to lack of man power, the crew had to delay their efforts until more crew members arrived on scene. Fortunately, the family of four had safely evacuated the home.

York Fire was on scene for roughly three hours before the fire was deemed completely extinguished. The mobile home is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is determined to be from an electrical issue.

No other fire units were dispatched to the scene. The family initially received assistance from the Salvation Army.
