First State Bank unveiled their Tree of Names Thursday morning as they kicked off their annual Christmas holiday “Gift of Love Program.” The tree has hundreds of names of local children whose families may not be able to buy them many Christmas gifts.
Director of Marketing Becca Tompkins says if you’re interested in participating.. all you have to do is go into the First State Bank branch on Broadway, pick up a name or two and have all the gifts delivered by the date listed on the gift tag.
Tompkins said, “It is so exciting that this our 37th year. The longevity of programs in our community is so amazing and this is no exception. And the only way our program can be 37 years old is because of the love and generosity of the community . So I and all of the people at First State Bank say thank you.
First State Bank will be hosting a Business Afters tonight from 5 to 7… and people are encouraged to come out, enjoy food and beverage, and grab a name or two off of the tree.
Tompkins adds there’s a lot of programs throughout the Gift of Love where you can help out this holiday season, including the Truck of Love, the Coat Drive…and canned food collection through the local schools.
You can find more information about the Gift of Love program on First State Bank’s website.
