Kearney Assistant City Manager Paul Briseno to leave

Kearney, Neb. — Kearney Assistant City Manager Paul Briseno has accepted a position with the City of Brookings, South Dakota as City Manager. Briseno has spent three years as Kearney’s Assistant City Manager and will leave his current position in early June.

“We are sad to see him go but at the same time we are extremely excited about this opportunity for Paul and his family”, said Michael Morgan, City Manager. “We wish Paul luck as he takes this next step in his career and thank him for all that he has done for our community during his time spent as Assistant City Manager for the City of Kearney.”

Eric Hellriegel, currently the Special Projects Coordinator, has been named Kearney Assistant City Manager. Prior to his tenure as Special Projects Coordinator,  Hellriegel served as the Assistant Park & Recreation Director.
