The Cuming County Fair Board of Directors hit a grand-slam home run Saturday night during the fair in West Point.
The board had secured great entertainment for the Saturday night concert in the Nielsen Community Center.
“The Dylan Bloom Band” opened for the legendary group “Lonestar,” at the Nielsen Community Center.
A local Country music favorite from North Bend, Dylan Bloom, performed before and after Lonestar.
Bloom and his music seem destined for further success, and the audience enjoyed the bands’ performances.
Shortly after 9pm, “Lonestar” was welcomed on-stage by staff members from 840 Country KTIC and 107.9 The Bull.
The band performed their long list of Country chart-topping hits from the past 25 years, including “Front Porch Lookin’ In,” “Walkin’ In Memphis,” “Mr.Mom,” “I’m Already There,” and “Amazed.”
They wrapped up with a mix of songs by the Beatles, Styx, and Pink Floyd which had the energized audience singing along and dancing.
“Lonestar” proved why they’re still as popular as ever, with great musicianship and songs that appeal to the young and middle-aged fans who packed the Nielsen Center.
