(AUDIO) Lots Of Appreciation To Go Around At Ag Appreciation Dinner

There was a great turnout at the Nielsen Community Center tonight for the West Point Chamber of Commerce annual Ag Appreciation Dinner.

Recent flooding did not hurt the attendance, as a large crowd enjoyed the banquet.

The disastrous flooding in northeast Nebraska and the region was referred to several times during the event.

Mayor Bruce Schlecht started out by thanking surrounding communities for their support during the recent flooding.

Tina from the Chamber also spoke and shared a quote from Mr. Rogers.

Humorist and Custer county rancher R.P. Smith , “ The Cowboy Poet,” provided the entertainment.

His home-spun observations are heard on 840 KTIC.

Two young people were serving food and briefly  spoke with Dwight Lane.
