Construction continues to make changes to the campus of the Platte Valley Companies in Scottsbluff.
A remodeled Professional Center is now completed, housing the company’s trust and investment divisions, as well as J.G. Elliott Insurance, and visible work is underway on a new Community Center for meetings and public events.
Platte Valley President and CEO Hod Kosman says the company’s community room has been moved three times over the years, and it was time for a permanent solution that would meet future needs. “That’s been used over the years a lot by non-profits, by various uses in the community,” says Kosman. “It is a big deal, and we weren’t going to back away from that. We just decided we better do it once, and right, forever”.
Completion of the community center is slated for next February, and when finished the 3,800 square foot facility will include the latest communications technology and accommodate up to 160 people.
Kosman says all the changes are a reflection of the company’s growth, and a desire to bring services closer to their customers.
