Omaha Roncalli’s star quarterback Jack Dotzler, who was injured late in the second quarter of Friday night’s state playoff game with Scottsbluff High, is listed in good condition at Regional West  Saturday morning.

Dotzler was carted off the field and taken to Regional West by ambulance.

Dotzler tweeted a picture with his left arm in a sling Saturday morning while lying in his hospital bed.  KNEB Sports Director Chris Cottrell reports that Scottsbluff Athletic Director Dave Hoxworth told him that Dotzler had surgery Friday night to repair two broken bones in his wrist.

Dotzler recognized three Scotsbluff football players in his tweet as  Bearcats Keegan Reifschneider, Garrett Nelson, and Jeremiah Delzer are shown in the picture visiting  Dotzler in his hospital room.

Dotzler also tweeted  “Thanks everyone for the prayers and concerns . it was a great year and no one can take that away from us.”

Scottsbluff rallied from a 38-14 halftime deficit to win 60-38 and move to a semifinal playoff game against York next week.
