One of two EWC employees on paid leave will return to work

Eastern Wyoming College has announced that one of the two employees placed on paid administrative leave last month will be returning to work at the institution.

However, in a release sent out Thursday, the EWC administration says that employee has also been reassigned.

Meanwhile, Torrington’s Police Chief tells KNEB News his investigation continues into allegations that EWC employees attempted to cover-up underage drinking on campus.

Chief Tim Hurd says it will likely take a few more weeks of interviews and investigation before making a determination on any potential charges regarding underage drinking.

According to the college’s residence hall handbook, possession of alcohol or containers is not permitted on campus or at college sponsored events, regardless of the user’s age.

EWC officials say the paid leave for the 2nd of the two employees has been extended to November 26th.
