A 49-year-old Scottsbluff man is in custody following a Scottsbluff Police Department investigation into a possible rape.
Court documents say that the victim contacted police to say that Richard Requejo sexually assaulted her on May 7th while she was at his residence.
She says that he took off her clothes and began kissing her and touching her. The affidavit says that the victim told Requejo to stop several times and “pled with him not to rape her.”
Requejo was subsequently interviewed and told investigators that the woman never told him “no,” but in a later interview at State Patrol he said that he continued to sexually assault her after the victim told him to stop.
A warrant for Requejo’s arrest was issued on Thursday, and he was arrested on a charge of 1st Degree Forcible Sexual Assault. He is scheduled to make his first appearance on the charge today in Scotts Bluff County Court.
