A 32-year-old Scottsbluff man has been sentenced to prison this morning for a conviction of Distribution of Methamphetamine.

Eric Pinkstaff was wanted in connection to a separate case regarding unauthorized use of a financial device, and Scottsbluff Police contacted Pinkstaff on December 3rd when they saw him walking across a church parking lot.

As he was being arrested, police found three baggies of methamphetamine weighing more than seven grams.

In March, Pinkstaff pleaded guilty to the drug charge in exchange of the Unauthorized use of a Financial Transaction Device charge to be dismissed.

This morning in Scotts Bluff County District Court, Pinkstaff was sentenced to 24 to 36 months in prison for the Class 2 Felony conviction. He was given credit for 157 days already served; and one he is released from prison he will have to serve nine months of post-release supervision.
