Scottsbluff Police investigate two Monday morning injury accidents

Scottsbluff Police investigated two injury accidents during the 7:00 hour Thursday morning.

Sergeant Steve Lopez says the first one occurred  at 1818 3rd Ave  when a Honda CRT driven by 67 year old Marsha Green of Scottsbluff was backing out of the driveway and struck an unidentified  38 year old Scottsbluff woman walking on the sidewalk.  The pedestrian was transported to Regional West due to pain to  her  upper body.

Lopez says  the other accident at  07:48 occurred  at the intersection of Ave H and W 25th ST in reference to a motor vehicle accident.  The investigation found that a westbound  2005 Chevy Impala driven by 26 year old Laura Morehead  of Scottsbluff and a southbound 2000 Mitsubishi LSX driven by 18 year old Christopher Gutierrez (18) of Scottsbluff collided in the middle of the intersection .

Morehead was issued a citation for failure to yield and she was  transported to Regional West after complaining of  pain to her midsection.  Morehead was not listed in the hospital directory Monday evening. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
