Scottsbluff Public Schools Summer Lunch Program kickoffs May 29th

With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children eating healthy while school is out. Beginning May 29 the 2018 Summer Food Service Program will kick off with three Scottsbluff locations serving meals.

From May 29 to June 21, meals will be served Monday through Friday from 10:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Roosevelt Elementary School located at 1306 9th Avenue, and Lincoln Heights Elementary School at 2214 Avenue C in Scottsbluff. Bluffs Middle School will be serving meals until July 27th from 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Nutritious meals will be provided to all children 18 years of age and younger free of charge. Adults may eat for $3.85. Snacks are provided from 9:00-9:30 a.m. at these three locations for all children 18 years of age or younger. Adults may purchase a snack for $3.55. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender or disability.

New this year, Bluffs Middle School will also provide a Grab N’ Go Mobile Kiosk which will be serving lunch at Scottsbluff High School May 29th-June 28th 10:45 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. during summer school, then will be at various community locations until July 27th. Menus and a schedule for the Mobile Kiosk will be posted as it becomes available at www.sbps.net.
