A proposed upgrade of security measures in place at Scottsbluff City Hall will be considered by the City Council Monday evening.
City Manager Nathan Johnson says they have had a number of instances where individuals have come in to City Hall, whether paying a utility bill or to make a complaint, where tempers have gotten heated.
He says the upgrades will include creation of a secure “double window” area in the vestibule, preventing customers from entering directly into the working areas of City Hall.
The council Monday evening will consider awarding the $53,000 contract to Anderson and Shaw. If approved, Johnson says construction could begin within the month.
