(GERING, NE) Scotts Bluff National Monument kicks off their summer programs on Memorial Day weekend. Blue skies, green grass and wildflowers; start the summer on this note of beauty.
Come take a wild flower walk with Steven Rolfsmeier, Chadron State College professor, as he leads a walk around the Monument identifying flowers and plants along the way. His one hour walk will take place on Saturday, May 27 at 3:00pm leaving from the Visitor Center.
Summer hours will begin Saturday May 27. The Visitor Center will be open 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, while the Summit Road will be open 8:00am – 5:30 pm. The Entrance booth will start operation on Saturday as well. The Monument grounds are open sunrise to sunset.
