Drivers and navigators in this weekend’s Sugar Valley Rally were gathered at the Harms Center at WNCC Friday morning for the annual “Rally School.”
Presenter Rex Gardner of Grove, Oklahoma with the Vintage Car Rally Association told KNEB News the school is extremely important whether you’re an experienced or first time participant.
Gardner says the Rally School lets the people know what to expect on the course, details about how the instructions are used, and how to relate them to the driver in the precision timed event.
Following a noon lunch, a practice rally will take place this afternoon, with a 3 pm pit stop at the Bridgeport Cenex and the cars finishing Reganis Honda at 5 p.m. for a Business After Hours event where the cars will be on display.
The rally officially starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at Western Nebraska Regional Airport.
