The Emporium in Scottsbluff shuts down ahead of schedule

Five days after announcing the closure of their restaurant- The Emporium has closed their doors for good- one week ahead of their planned closure.

On Saturday, owners Ron and Sara Schluter posted to their Facebook page that they have ran out of inventory due to the ‘overwhelming’ public response. All reservations that were made have been cancelled, and the restaurant is closed for good.

The Emporium had been a staple dining destination for Scottsbluff for the last 17 years, but with declining sales- a November 24th closing date had been announced.

The two coffee kiosks- one at Regional West and one at Main Street Market- will remain open for business.  The Schluter’s says they have no regrets, have great memories, and they will now concentrate on their coffee kiosks.

Schluter emphasized the restaurant is a turn-key operation with updated equipment and anyone interested in the business or the building is welcome to get in contact with them at the restaurant.
