West Point Beemer senior James Meiergerd makes backward half-court in front of student body and Globetrotter.

After James Meiergerd caught the attention of the Harlem Globetrotters earlier this month with a backwards half-court shot, Globetrotters star El Gato Melendez visited his high school in Nebraska yesterday as the team prepares for games in Lincoln and Omaha.  The video below is approved for media and shows the now famous 18-year old with Down syndrome making yet another epic shot at West Point-Beemer High School.  This time, James accomplished the feat in front of his entire school and a world famous basketball star, who had an important message for the students.
