Western States Bank has announced it is preparing to build a new facility to be located at the corner of Highway 26 and Avenue B
The bank says it is in the process of reviewing plans for the new more centralized bank that Nebraska President Dan Carter says “will be a new state-of-the-art facility with the latest conveniences and technology to better serve Scottsbluff and the surrounding areas.”
Carter says the location just east of Perkins is at the center of growth in Scottsbluff and many amenities that are available to customers. Carter says the bank has owned the property for years and “it is a great location.” The tentative timeline to begin construction is 2019.
The bank says the drive-up at the new location will be large enough to accommodate horse trailers, campers and other large vehicles. It also says there will be “plentiful parking and a welcoming lobby.”
In preparation for the new facility, Western States Bank will merge its Scottsbluff drive-up location at South Broadway with its full-service location at 1701 First Avenue on June 30th. A fully-functioning ATM will remain at the South Broadway location.
