A 28-year-old man’s trip through Dawson County was sidetracked Tuesday morning following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 around 10:00am. A Dawson County Sheriff’s Office deputy made contact with the driver about a speeding violation but, noticed the odor of Marijuana. It led to a probable cause search of the vehicle where Marijuana pipes were located along with glass jar of Marijuana in the front area. In the rear seat, a cooler was found containing Marijuana and Hashish along with a handgun and gun magazines. Dustin Krueger of Elcorn, Wisconsin was placed under arrest and transported to the Dawson County Jail. Krueger was arraigned in Dawson County Court Wednesday on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Felony, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Krueger’s bond was set at 10% of $25,000 and his next court appearance was set for May 21, 2018 at 1:30pm.
