Women arrested for false imprisonment and terroristic threats

Two women who allegedly tried to coerce another woman into having sex with men for money over a two week period are in the Scotts Bluff County jail.

27 year old Nichelle Sands and 20 year old Kathie Betancourt-Robles have been arrested for false imprisonment and terroristic threats.

Court documents say the victim told Scottsbluff Police Tuesday she felt she was unable to leave as the two women and their group tried to raise the bond money to get Robles’ boyfriend out of jail. The victim said she was with the boyfriend when he was arrested during a traffic stop and was being blamed for the arrest. The victim said guns were pointed at her, she was punched in the face, was told she would be chopped up with a machete, and people threatened to hurt her family.

Sands and Betancourt-Robles will make their first appearances in county court this afternoon
