(Audio) Hansen joins powerhouse Morningside
RRN/York senior, Tenly Hansen signs to play tennis and basketball at Morningside College.

YORK – A multi-sport standout at York High School, senior Tenly Hansen has decided to continue her sports career at Morningside College.

Hansen will join the Mustang basketball and tennis teams in the fall. She will also reunite with her older sister, Tayte who is wrapping up her freshman year on the basketball team.

Hansen was limited to just 11 games this past season after tearing her ACL in the first game. She said the injury was a learning experience…

She was a part of a Duke basketball team that appeared in the state tournament all four years, including the Class B semifinals twice. Hansen averaged 7.5 points and 2.3 rebounds during her career as a Duke.

A state champion in tennis her junior year for York, Hansen is still relatively new to the sport…

Hansen was also a member of the York volleyball team. She plans to major in biology with a focus in pre-med.

The Mornigside women’s basketball team are four time national champions with seven final four appearances. Along with the basketball team being a powerhouse, the Mustang tennis team traditionally finishes in the top five every year in the GPAC.
