(AUDIO) Logan View/Scribner-Snyder’s Peters heading to York for Softball

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Softball Standout Ashley Peters is headed to York College to continue her playing career. Peters says she chose York over Peru State. “I was looking at Peru State to go play softball, but York, when I went and visited there, I just really loved the campus and I got to meet the team and the coach, and I just instantly felt a connection. I just liked it a lot better at York and they offered a lot more so I just decided to go with York cause I knew it was the right option.”

Peters says she plans to major in Criminal Justice.

She also plays basketball for the Raiders and used to run track for Scribner-Snyder, but says there was never a doubt as to what sport she wanted to do in college. “I never really thought about basketball because softball has been my one sport where I’ve just loved it so I haven’t really thought about anything besides softball.”

Peters thinks she’ll play middle infield for York as she was a shortstop and 2nd baseman for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

She adds hitting her first homerun for the Raiders is a very fond memory she has from playing High School Softball.
