RRN/Marco Machado signs to play football at Wyoming.

WACO – Marco Machado continues to thrive in America. The senior at Nebraska Lutheran High School has decided to walk on to play football at the University of Wyoming.

Originally from Brasilia, Brazil, Machado has had a unique journey to become a division one football player…

Machado says  it was definitely a culture shock when he first arrived in Nebraska…

The 6 foot 4, 310 pound lineman helped Nebraska Lutheran to two straight playoff appearances, including a second round appearance this past season. When he wasn’t playing center, Machado compiled 56 tackles and forced one fumble on the defensive side in his two years with the Knights.

Machado says he’ll never forget the small town atmosphere…

Machado also had interest from Princeton and Minnesota State.

He will join a Cowboy football team that is coming off an 8-5 season that saw them win the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, 37-14 over Central Michigan. Machado plans to play on the offensive line for Wyoming.
