EXETER- It was a sweep for the Exeter-Milligan basketball teams on Tuesday night over the Friend Bulldogs

The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves won 65-37 against their vintage rival Friend Bulldogs on Tuesday in Exeter. The Timberwolves move to 5-0 on the season, while Friend drops to 0-6.
It was a close one in the first half as the Timberwolves led 30-24 at the break. Up to that point in the season, Friend had not scored more than 28 points in a contest, but they put up two dozen on their rival in the first half. Timberwolves senior Spencer Pribyl led all scorers at halftime with 10. Jackson Beethe came off the bench with 9. Friend was led at halftime by junior Jacob Bottom who had 8.
As the second half started, Exeter-Milligan began to pull away. Quick buckets by Timberwolves junior Max Zeleny gave them a double-digit lead and they never looked back.
Both teams emptied their benches and the Timberwolves moved on to the 28-point win.
Beethe led all scores with 18 points. Pribyl finished with 16 and Zeleny added 12 to lead Exeter-Milligan. Johnny Babula added 7, Colton Bossaller finished with 5, Mitchell Manning scored 3 and Dylan Bonds and Theron Odvody came off the bench to score 2. For Friend, Bottom never scored again after halftime, he finished with 8 along with freshman Christian Weber. Freshman Christian Chesnut had 7, Frank Filipi had 6, Devon Collier tacked on 4.
The Timberwolves look to keep the unbeaten streak going with a road contest High Plains Community this Friday. Friend is on the road this Friday as well at Lawrence-Nelson.
The Exeter-Milligan Lady Timberwolves expanded their record to 6-0 after the 58-27 win over the Friend Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night in Exeter.

Even as Friend had a more energized attack to start the 3rd quarter – led mainly by Bulldogs senior Bridgette Baugh who had 12 second half points – the Timberwolves held the lead strong and got the win.
