(AUDIO) West Point-Beemer Volleyball starts strong, loses in four to Wahoo in Sub-State match

North Bend-The West Point-Beemer Volleyball Team gave defending Class C-1 State Champion Wahoo a scare at the start of Saturday’s Sub-State match at North Bend Central before the Warriors settled in and won the match 3-1.

The Cadets took set one 25-23 before Wahoo won set two 25-6, set three 25-9, and set four 25-12.

Sidney Swanson led West Point-Beemer with 10 kills. The Warriors were led by Mya Larson, who notched a match-high 21 kills. Kyla Swanson added 17.

The Cadets end the season at 17-15 while Wahoo improves to 32-2 and will play Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Lincoln North Star in the first round of state.
