CCC Men fall at Iowa Western

The Central Community College men’s basketball team lost at Iowa Western Community College on Tuesday night, 109-76. The loss evens CCC’s season record at 3-3.

The Reivers set the tone early with a 20-4 run over the first six minutes of the contest. IWCC later built a 21-point lead before the Raiders rattled off a 14-4 run to pull to within nine points with just under seven minutes to play in the first half. Iowa Western led at the half, 51-32.

The trend continued in the second half as IWCC pulled ahead by 26 points on a Shaun Doss layup at the 9:21 mark.

Four CCC players finished in double figures, led by Malik Mooving with 23 points. Garrett Sittner tallied 13 points, while Emmet Storer and Brady Rohde each finished with 10 points apiece.

Up next, CCC will host the Pinnacle Bank Classic on Friday and Saturday at Raider Fieldhouse. On Friday night, the Raiders will take on Southwestern (IA) Community College and then York JV on Saturday at 1 p.m.
