IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa junior Megan Gustafson has been named to the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday. It is the eighth weekly honor of Gustafson’s career and her second in as many weeks.

Gustafson averaged 18.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, and shot 70.0 percent from the field in a pair of wins last week. She netted a game-high 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field and pulled down 11 boards to guide the Hawkeyes to a 105-80 victory over Northern Illinois on Nov. 15.

On Nov. 19, Gustafson recorded 15 points and 13 rebounds against Western Michigan. She shot 67.7 percent (6-for-9) from the field to help the Hawkeyes improve to 4-0 on the season. She now has 31 career double-doubles.

Gustafson and the Hawkeyes return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 22, taking on Morgan State in the opening round of the Puerto Rico Challenge. Tipoff is set for 12:30 p.m. (CT) from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
