Lopers Come Up Short To Washburn

Kearney, Neb. – The Washburn Ichabods recorded 23 hits and Megan Deiter and Kelsee Henry both reached 13 wins in a double header sweep of Nebraska-Kearney, 7-4 and 13-5, Wednesday afternoon at Patriot Park. This series was moved up two full days due to expected inclement weather in the area. This weekend is also UNK’s chance in 2018 to play at the new Patriot Park. The Lopers (12-23, 8-10) will host Emporia State Thursday at noon; the Hornets (14-26, 5-11) were swept by Fort Hays State on Wednesday.
