Lopers Sending Five To Nationals

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney track and field team has qualified three men and two women for the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships May 23-25 in Kingsville, Texas. Returning to this meet are Elm Creek senior thrower Jacob Bartling (discus and shot put) and Waco senior Mackenzie Crowder (shot put). First time outdoor qualifiers are Florida sophomore Montrez Jackson (high jump), Cairo senior Grant Myers (pole vault) and McCook sophomore Tiara Schmidt (shot put). Myers and Schmidt were 2019 NCAA Indoor qualifiers; this is the first appearance in a national meet for Jackson who also is a wide receiver on the Loper football team.
