Northeast Men fall at Little Priest Tribal College

WINNEBAGO, Neb. – Despite leading by three points heading into halftime, the Northeast Community College men’s basketball team mustered only 31 points in the second half, falling to Little Priest Tribal College 72-66 on Saturday in Winnebago, Neb.

“We were unable to get things going offensively in the second half,” head coach Dan Anderson said. “We have a much-needed break coming up that will help us prepare for our conference schedule.”

Seth Coatta (Minnetonka, Minn.) led the Hawks (8-6) with 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field, including five 3-pointers. He also added seven boards. Caleb Rihanek (Spencer, Neb.) added 10 points, while Ben Moxness (Scribner, Neb.) and Moses Byekwaso (London, United Kingdom) tallied nine points each.

Northeast returns to action in 2019, taking on Quakerdale Prep Academy at 1 p.m. Jan. 5 in New Providence, Iowa.
