Central Community College women’s basketball is pleased to announce the signing of Monica Brooks, a 2018 graduate of Shawnee High School in Oklahoma.

As a senior, Brooks was named Second Team All-Suburban Conference and as an alternate on the all-state team in the Large East by the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association. She was named First Team All-Suburban Conference as a sophomore and was named Newcomer of the Year during her freshman campaign.

“Monica is going to help us spread the floor,” said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. “She can play back to the basket and facing the basket. She has great footwork in the post and will provide a mismatch for other teams. Monica is good athlete that I feel has the potential to really grow and get better.”

Brooks will be an academic transfer at CCC. She is the daughter of Gregory and Yolanda Brooks of Shawnee, Okla.
