YORK, Neb. – York Duke standout Garrett Snodgrass has been selected by a panel of 51 national voters as 1 of 15 semi-finalists for the National High School Butkus Award, honoring the nation’s best linebackers at the collegiate and high school levels.
Snodgrass has been hampered by a lower body injury the last few games, but on the season has collected 41 tackles, with 1 sack and 4 tackles for loss.
Snodgrass isn’t the only Nebraska native headed to the semi finals. Fellow Husker commits, Garrett Nelson of Scottsbluff and Omaha Burke stud Nick Henrich will join him.
Players from ten states appear on the semi final list including three from Georgia and two from California.
Finalists in both college and high school divisions will be announced November 19, and winners will be announced on or before December 4.
