Wayne State visits Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston in NSIC men’s basketball this weekend.
The Wildcats enter Friday’s 8 p.m. matchup in Bemidji at 12-12 on the season and sixth in the NSIC South with a 7-9 league mark.
BSU is fourth in the NSIC North at 6-10 and 9-12 overall. UMC starts the weekend with records of 8-14 and 5-11 (6th) in the NSIC North.
Last season, BSU edged WSC in Wayne 78-76 while the Wildcats beat UMC 79-72.
The Wayne State College women’s basketball team face their final opponents from the NSIC North Division this weekend with a road trip to Bemidji State Friday night (6 p.m.) and Minnesota Crookston Saturday afternoon (4 p.m.).
The Wildcats are 18-6 overall and second place in the NSIC South with a 12-4 league mark.
BSU starts the weekend at 4-16 and 3-13 in league play while UMC is 6-14 and 6-10.
Last season, WSC beat BSU twice – 70-65 in the regular season in Wayne and 85-61 in the NSIC Tournament opener also in Wayne while WSC edged UMC in Wayne last season 67-60.
