Former Gering graduate killed in Saturday accident in Henry

The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the cause of a one-vehicle accident Saturday night in Henry that killed a 27-year-old man.

NSP officials say Kelsey Komarek of Denver, Colorado and a 2010 Gering High graduate, died when he lost control of his vehicle  shortly after 10 a.m. on Highway 26.

Komarek was eastbound when his vehicle left the highway for an unknown reason at mile marker 1 and struck a building. Seat belts were in use at the time of the accident.
