A plan to redevelop the flood-prone Dead Timber State Recreation Area is being created, and the public is encouraged to participate by giving feedback.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will host a virtual public meeting via Zoom on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. to outline potential design concepts of the plan and take public comments.
Erin Johnson with Nebraska Game and Parks has more.
Johnson adds they’re looking to enhance Dead Timber in terms of what it has to offer.
People should register at least an hour before the free meeting to make sure they get into the Zoom call.
Registration can be done at http://outdoornebraska.gov/deadtimber/
For those unable to participate in the virtual meeting, an online comment board will be available for two weeks after the meeting on that web page.
