YORK- York Public Schools will be implementing the Jobs for America’s Graduate (JAG) curriculum. The program will begin at the start of the 2020-2021 school year. According to JAG, “Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a state-based, national non-profit organization dedicated to assist youth to succeed both in school and on the job, leading to a productive and rewarding career. JAG serves youth who possess fewer advantages to academic, personal or career success.”

York will also be able to add an employee for the program, and for the first two years it will not cost the school as grants are available, and after that, it becomes a 90-10 split, so only 10% the school will have to pay for. But that 10% could be taken care of by Economic Development grants. Superintendent of York Public Schools, Dr. Micth Batholomew took the time to sit down with News Director Evan Jones about the program.
