The West Point City Council was updated on the Water Treatment Plant and Water Main Projects at Tuesday night’s meeting held at the Nielsen Center. City Administrator Tom Goulette has the latest.
Goulette says the Iron and Manganese levels have been below limits, adding some residents have had dirty water problems.
Goulette says the city plans to flush the mains again once the weather allows.
The Council was also updated on the easement with the Cuming County Ag Society for the Army Corps of Engineers constructing a berm along the levee system. Goulette says the two sides are close to an agreement.
Goulette says the council has authorized Mayor Bruce Schlecht to sign the agreement, adding things are expected to be finalized as soon as the survey is formalized and a few other minor questions as to some certain dates are answered.
