Reorganization of the Board and Assignments of Board Committees took place at Monday night’s West Point-Beemer School Board Meeting. Superintendent Bill McAllister says there will be a vacancy on the board.

McAllister declined to comment on who the outgoing board member is. The filing deadline for incumbents is February 18th.

The legislature will be looking at ways to change school funding to help relieve property taxes. McAllister says state aid has been on the decline in recent years.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, Administration Salaries were approved not to exceed 2.5% for next school year.

The second semester begins on Tuesday.
