The West Point City Council met for their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night at the Nielsen Center. City Administrator Tom Goulette provided a Water Treatment Plant Project and Water Main Project Update to the Council, and spoke with KTIC News after the meeting.
Goulette says Rutjens Construction will be back in West Point in the middle of the month to do some more work.
Goulette adds the city did another flushing of the system last week.
Also at Tuesday night’s meeting, the Council approved the renewal of the City’s lease agreement with the West Point Community Theatre as the City will continue to put in about $18,000 a year.
The council also approved the 2020 Cuming County Local Emergency Operations Plan at the meeting.
The city also has a new City Attorney in Karrie Gaines, who replaces Steve Preston.
