Boswell Murder Trial Reveals Evidence of the First Findings of Loofes Remains.

LEXINGTON, NE – Day six of the Bailey Boswell murder trial in Lexington started with further information on the recovery of human remains in rural Clay County.

FBI Special Agent Eli McBride was recalled to the stand. He was among officers who were at the first scene where remains of Sydney Loofe were found late in the day on December 4, 2017.

The next day, more law enforcement assembled for a systematic search and processing of evidence.

The jury reviewed photos of a garbage bag with a human body part protruding out along with a portion of an arm and a severed foot. The arm had a tattoo that Sydney is known to have.

Photographs and items collected from Clay County road ditches and fields were introduced into the trial on Wednesday morning also.

Special Prosecutor Sandra Allen walked Agent McBride through the day of December 5, 2017 when law enforcement recovered human remains and other items from about 17 different locations.

A section of an arm was the only body part of Loofe not recovered. Other items included trash bags, vinyl gloves, plastic tarp, duck tape and clothing items.

Defense attorney Todd Lancaster objected to images of Loofes remains being shown to jurors. Saline County District Judge Vicky Johnson overruled all those motions.

Agent McBride continued his testimony explaining a fourth search warrant executed on the Wilber apartment shared by Boswell and Aubrey Trail.

After the recovery of Loofes remains in early December 2017, law enforcement returned to the Wilber apartment in an attempt to find where Loofe was killed or dismembered.

Among items found were duck tape, zip ties, and a sauna suit box similar to one recovered in Clay County. Various plumbing fixtures were also removed in an attempt by law enforcement to recover any trace evidence.
