California Man Facing Three Drug Charges After Arrest In York County

YORK-According to court records, on the afternoon of July 5th, 2019 a York County Deputy observed a 2019 Chevrolet Impala traveling eastbound near mm 349 on Interstate 80. The vehicle driven by Abraham Rodriguez Alvarez, of San Jose, California, was failing to maintain its lane. Certain indicators led to the deputy deploying a Patrol Service Dog to search the vehicle, and find 79 grams of marijuana in the center console, and then in the trunk of the vehicle, there was 9.23 pounds of marijuana.

The charges set for Alvarez are:

– Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to distribute, a Class 2A Felony
-Possess marijuana more than one pound, a Class 4 Felony
-No drug tax stamp, a Class 4 Felony

His, arraignment is set for September 23rd, 2019.
