The Scottsbluff Police Department once again participated in the National Coffee With A Cop Day this morning (Wed) at Bluffs Bakery in Scottsbluff.

The nationally recognized program is designed to bring police officers and community members together – in an open forum – over a cup of coffee – to discuss issues and learn more about each other.

Captain Tony Straub told KNEB News it’s an opportunity for members of the community to ask questions, raise concerns, engage in casual conversation, or just stop by to say “hello” and enjoy a cup of coffee with them.

Straub said these kind of event allow for relaxed, informal one-on-one interactions with law enforcement officers in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
