YORK- The York City Council will meet this Thursday, April 16th at a new time. The council will meet via ZOOM at 5:30 P.M. rather than the previously scheduled time of 7:00 P.M. An item that was tabled last meeting was the further discussion about the city moving forward with an “intent to enter” into a contract with a project manager that would start the process of making improvements to the City Auditorium and Community Center.

This item was taken off the agenda for the time being as the city is advertising one more time for a notice to any additional bidders and then will refer any proposals to a third party engineer before the council takes action to enter a contract. Mayor Barry Redfern hopes that this matter will be revisited in May.  Redfern also said, “I have had overwhelming support to move forward with the projects, so we will get there.”
