County Offices Change Locations to Improve Patron Access

Several Scotts Bluff County departments are in the process of changing their office locations following approval of a plan earlier this month by the Board of Commissioners.

The GIS-Mapping Department is now on the second floor of the Administration Building across from the Sheriff’s Office, and Director Suzie Wick says the change creates an all-in-one location for patrons needing to access several related departments.

They can get to the Registrar of Deeds, the Assessor’s Office and our Mapping Department, all within one administration building,” said Wick. “It seems like we’re all linked together, and work together, so this will be a lot easier for realtors and the general public to use and utilize our services.”

The Health Department is moving to the Probation Office, and that service is being moved to the basement of the admin building into the Tri-City Roadrunner office.

Transit Director Curt Richter and his staff will move out to the county shop at Rundell Road, taking over the space formerly occupied by Wick’s department.
