Four Corners Health Department Reports Two Additional COVID-19 Related Deaths

September 11, 2020—The Four Corners Department has been notified of two additional COVID-19 related deaths within the District.  A man in his 70s from York, who was hospitalized, has died, and is the first COVID related death in York County.  Seward County has now had its third death, a woman in her 80s, who had also been hospitalized.  Both had underlying health conditions.

This is the third COVID-19 related death reported in the Four Corners District in the past week, to bring the District total to 6.  Butler, Polk and York Counties have each had one death, and Seward County has had three.

The past 2-day total of COVID-19 cases has increased by 17 in the Four Corners District:

  • York County has 9 new cases to total 135, and 96 have recovered.
  • Seward County has 5 new cases for a total of 206, and 114 have recovered.
  • Polk County adds 3 new cases for 38 cases total, and 24 have recovered.
  • Butler County remains at 100 total cases, and 66 have recovered.

The total cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the Four Corners District is 479, and 300 of those have recovered.
